Lovely cafe in the historic post office building with indoor and outside seating overlooking the street. It seems popular with local office workers and food looked OK.

On a beautiful Queensland morning I decided to coffee shop hop, starting with Hard Coffee. This tiny coffee shop is adjacent to the Post Office. The staff is incredibly friendly. I enjoyed a flat white coffee and the Turkish Avocado toast with fig sauce and feta cheese topping. Wow, it was fabulously delicious.

Strange name for a café I must say. But it’s certainly very popular. Throughout the time we were there having coffee and a snack, there was a line of people either ordering something or picking something up they had already ordered or taking a seat. Given that it’s only a small place, it is literally buzzing energy. It was also amazing that the three staff members who were continuously busy were unflappable and friendly throughout. By the chatter between the staff and the customers it was obvious that many of the customers were regulars. Andy why not? My coffee was delicious.

Service was friendly, quick and helpful. We dined in, the almond croissant was spectacular, the raisin toast thick and the hot chocolate tasty, though it could have been hotter. My scrambled eggs with GF toast was delicious. I paired my nicely hot almond chai with a delicious GF peanut butter cookie. Sooo good.
